In some cases, there are disorders, in other words, anomalies, in the heart of a baby still in the womb due to its development. This situation constitutes approximately 10% to 30% of all diseases seen at birth. Congenital heart disease is seen in approximately 9 out of every 1000 babies born alive. While some of these anomalies are not clinically significant and will heal on their own, some can only be treated with surgery. Although it is suggested that heart diseases, for which early diagnosis and diagnosis are very important, are caused by genetic and environmental factors, the cause of most of them is not yet fully known.
